Guided tour of Cusco and SHOPPING!!

Today we were given a private guided tour of the city of Cusco. Our guide, Mel, showed us the daily lifestyle of the natives along with two major cathedrals, and  a lot of Peruvian culture.

Our first stop was the San Pedro Market where many people go for their daily food and necessities.

Dyed orchids

Quinoa has been eaten in Peru long before it became the LA fad food.

Look away now if you have a weak stomach.

They don't leave any animal parts unused.

Cow snout?

Hearts...mmmm?

Don't ask.

Many of the vendors have these guys at their booths to bring good luck and prosperity.

Unfortunately we were not able to take pictures in the cathedral. Eccentric does not even begin to describe the altars and paintings thoughout the chapels.

I got to hold a little lamb!!! It was the softest, most adorable thing ever.

The famous stone featured on every Cusqueña beer bottle.

They have a Paddy's Pub in Cusco!!!
